The Falls Education Cooperative was originally formed to deliver special education services to students in Chilton, Marlin, Rosebud Lott and Westphalia school districts. Since then, two new districts have been added to the cooperative. Riesel ISD joined the cooperative in 1994. Mart ISD joined the cooperative in 2000.
FEC serves approximately 700 special education students in these districts. The Falls Education Cooperative offers an appropriate program for all handicapped students who qualify for services. These programs are offered at campuses of the FEC and other locations in the community. Programs offered include PPCD classes, speech therapy and other related services, resource and lifeskills classes, and various other consultative services. These programs are offered in the least restrictive environment and at no cost to the parents.
Anyone with a child between the ages of 3-21 who suspects that their child may have a disability can contact Steve Holland at 254-883-2634 for additional information. Students ages 0-3 are eligible if they have an auditory or visual impairment.
